Role
Reporting to the Head of Headhouse and Fit Out, the Senior Project Manager for MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) will be responsible for the MEP fit-out across HS2 S1 and S2 lots
Role Responsibility
Design & Technical Management
- Manage the design development and coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
- Ensure designs are buildable, compliant, and aligned with operational requirements.
- Drive value through design optimisation, innovation, and risk reduction.
Construction & Delivery Management
- Oversee construction activities, ensuring efficient sequencing, coordination, and execution on site.
- Ensure effective integration of building and MEP systems throughout delivery.
- Support smooth transition through testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
Supply Chain Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key supply chain partners.
- Drive a collaborative, performance-focused culture across contractors and stakeholders.
- Ensure supply chain engagement supports programme certainty and quality outcomes.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop a strong understanding of client objectives and priorities, aligning delivery approaches accordingly.
- Maintain effective relationships with client teams and key stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly on progress, risks, and opportunities.
Programme, Cost & Risk Management
- Manage programme, budgets, and cost performance across assigned assets.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues, ensuring robust controls are in place.
- Support governance, reporting, and performance monitoring.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary delivery team.
- Promote an open, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
- Support development and mentoring of team members.

Skills:
- Proven experience delivering Building and MEP packages on major infrastructure or construction projects
- Experience managing design, construction, and commissioning phases
- Strong stakeholder and client management capability
- Commercial awareness and experience managing cost and risk
- Ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams

About the Company
The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services
The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
