Job Introduction
Part-Time Recruiter
Hours: 20 hours per week (Flexible working pattern available)
Location: Remote however office space can be provided if preferred
The Role:
Reporting to the STRABAG Recruitment Manager, the Recruitment Administrator will provide essential administrative support across the recruitment and onboarding process. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all areas. Flexibility is available around how the 20 hours per week are worked.
This role is key to ensuring that new starters have a smooth, professional, and positive onboarding experience.
Role Responsibility
- Prepare and issue employment contracts for new starters
- Arrange candidate interviews and liaise with hiring managers
- Send joining instructions to new employees and act as a point of contact during the onboarding process
- Coordinate MyStaff emails for line managers and track completion
- Update and maintain recruitment and new starter trackers
- Ensure onboarding documentation is accurate, complete, and stored appropriately
- Prepare welcome packs for new joiners
- Support the visa administration process by issuing conditional offers and collating required documentation
- Provide general administrative support to the Recruitment Manager
The Ideal Candidate
About You:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confident and proactive communication with candidates and hiring managers
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using recruitment / HR systems, trackers, and shared file structures
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, with the ability to work confidently with spreadsheets and trackers
- Previous experience in recruitment or HR administration (desirable but not essential)

The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services
The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
