Job Introduction
Role
This role (Utilities Planning Engineer 2) is to support the existing Utilities Senior Planning Engineer in managing the delivery of the utility scope within Area Central. Specifically, this role will have the responsibility to support the Area Central Utilities delivery team for packages of work.
Role Responsibility
This role is complimenting the in-situ Utilities Planning Engineer 1 (AtR-130). This role’s demand is to undertake the daily responsibilities for the soon to be awarded Utilities packages for Design and Build Package (WP026.9) and the construction of the Adelaide Road utilities (WP026.1c) works. The responsibilities of this role are outlined in the figure above. The Design and Build package is a large delivery package split into two; Lot 1 covers the works between Green Park Way and OOC area, while Lot 2 covers the area between OOC and the end of the Euston Tunnels in Camden.
The role is to enable the Senior Planning Engineer to focus on the clause 32 programme to HS2, management of the subcontractor’s clause 32, and management of the utilities works under Annexure E of the Contract, (supporting the Commercial Team in supporting management of it).

Required Qualifications & Skills
· Degree in engineering or an appropriate professional qualification
· Prior experience in planning function in utilities engineering projects · Knowledge of the development and implementation of Asset utilities works, Planning Standards, WBS and Planning processes in a BIM environment. · Competence in Primavera P6 and Tilos · Knowledge of Safety, Environment and Risk Management · Strong communication skills

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 Main Civils Contracts which include both
Lots S1 (Euston Tunnels & Approaches) and S2 (Northolt Tunnels). The combined value of the contracts is
around £1.8billion with the works due for completion in 2025. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels
(TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks
and the construction of site compounds.
