Testing & Commissioning Systems Integration Manager
Role Responsibility
- Oversee the Development of the Testing and commissioning systems integration Strategy, in line with the MEP Delivery Strategy, programme and cost.
- Oversee the Management, supervise, train and mentor the Testing and commissioning team to enable them to optimize their work contribution.
- Overseeing of the Testing and commissioning recruitment requirements requisitioning resources in a timely manner to ensure that they are correctly specified and readily available so as not to impede the completion programme.
- Establishing a strong relationship with the project delivery team and suppliers, to provide operational and functional management advice on the practical implementation of the project’s Commissioning policies and processes.
- Undertaking and assisting contract management team in establishing, managing, and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders such as local authorities, HSE, EA, and others as required and directed for Commissioning & Testing activities against the Project Specifications
- Providing advice and guidance with regards to the managing the supply chain delivery performance.
- Develop Project specific Commissioning Strategy and Plans for associated Packages of work
- Assist and develop the Project schedule and be accountable for performance of Commissioning activities
- Prepare weekly and Monthly reports
- Ensuring the preparation and implementation of Commissioning training/ briefings
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Experience in involvement of a major infrastructure project, ideally from Design through to handover
- Experience in a similar level role, responsible for the delivery of Testing and commissioning Systems integration, including experience with Utility contracts.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict management skills
- Team player
- Diploma, degree or equivalent in Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Relevant Commissioning experience in engineering or other similar regulated industry
Desirable:
- Experience of delivering Systems and Integration on a major rail project.
- Framework and Alliance Behaviors: Persuasive, Socially Optimistic, Democratic, Adaptable.
- Experience of Early Contractor Involvement models and NEC forms of contract
- Knowledge of industry regulations for design, construction and testing and commissioning of building services (e.g. BS 7671 and Building Regulations).
- Expert knowledge of products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Experience of a self-assurance contract environment

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
