TBM Surface General Foreman
Job Introduction
This role would suit an experienced construction professional with good liaison and communications skills and the ability to integrate into a team.
Initially based at Greenpark Way Vent Shaft site to supervise the jet grouting subcontractor, this role will run until March 2022. After the completion of jet grouting works the foreman will be relocated to West Ruislip site.
where he/she will manage the TBM surface operations.
Responsibilities & Experience:
· Experience managing TBM surface logistics and specialist jet grouting subcontractors (preferred).
· Work with the Construction Manager and Works Manager to ensure all surface logistics are
performing as expected.
· Supervising own labour and subcontractors on site and construction of the works to specification and to
programme.
· Manage and coordinate site activities in line with the programme.
· Involvement in planning for 4 week look ahead programme and collaborative planning for key
activities
· Review daily outputs achieved and report to the Works Manager and Construction Manager.
· Review programme on a daily basis and assist the Construction Manager / Agent in identifying
opportunities.
· Ensure a quality product is delivered
· Ensure only adequately trained and experienced operatives are engaged on site to deliver the works.
· Undertake monthly SHE reviews with all suppliers and specialists.
· Deliver site inductions and regular toolbox talk briefings to the site team covering appropriate Health,
Safety and Environmental issues and ensure records of these briefings are maintained.
· Plan and assist the Construction Manager in determining best avenue of works, advising on
specialists’ strengths and concerns.
· Be fully conversant with specialists’ contract conditions and attendances.
· Demonstrating a personal commitment to implementation of the Project Management Plan and attainment of the stated quality targets.

The Ideal Candidate
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· 10+ Years experience in TBM Tunnelling.
· NVQ Level 3 Front Line Supervision
· CSCS Card
· SSSTS
· First Aider
· Appropriate experience of logistics management, including demonstrable site experience on
construction projects.
· Good knowledge and practical experience of legal requirements and how to comply with them,
including but not limited to driver hours, vehicle and driving safety.
· Good knowledge of safe operational practice for operation of vehicles and Equipment and methods of
loading and off-loading.
· Good knowledge and practical experience of planning and organizing deliveries to/ from sites;
