Senior As-Bulit BIM Modeller
Job Introduction
This role is responsible for leading the production, validation, and integration of Stage 5 and As-Built deliverables, ensuring full compliance with HS2’s BIM and As-Built specifications. Working under the direction of the As-Built BIM Manager and Area BIM Leads, this position supports model updates across shafts, headhouses, and associated assets, ensuring that live Project Information Models (PIMs) accurately reflect redlines, field changes, and progressive construction status.

Role Responsibility
- Maintain and update live Stage 5 3D models in coordination with field, design, and supply chain teams, ensuring changes are validated and traceable.
 - Lead the coordination and integration of as-constructed data including redlines, point clouds, FCDs, and survey outputs into the federated model.
 - Ensure all model updates are in alignment with the HS2 As-Built Specification (HS2-HS2-IM-SPE-000-000009) and project BEP.
 - Support DAC submissions by preparing graphical model data that meets required MPDT standards and is fully aligned to asset metadata and HS2’s AIM expectations.
 - Guide and mentor junior modellers and technicians to maintain modelling consistency, naming standards, and graphical integrity.
 - Drive issue resolution between construction and design inputs through active clash detection and model review cycles.
 - Collaborate with Asset Information Coordinators to ensure asset relationships, classifications, and identifiers are correctly attributed and validated.
 - Support fortnightly model review cycles, providing assurance documentation and inputs to design freeze processes.
 - Liaise with ProjectWise and EMT systems to manage model uploads, status tracking, and evidence submissions.
 
The Ideal Candidate
Required Experience, Skills, Qualifications and Behaviours
- Minimum 5 years experience in BIM or CAD modelling on major infrastructure projects.
 - Proven expertise in 3D modelling in Bentley AECOsim/OpenBuildings and use of ProjectWise CDE.
 - Demonstrable knowledge of model governance, as-built integration, and field coordination workflows.
 - Proficient in handling point cloud data and model-to-survey verification.
 - Strong understanding of HS2 BIM requirements, PIM/AIM lifecycle, and DAC process.
 - Capable of leading modelling workstreams and providing technical QA across multiple assets.
 - Clear understanding of LoD, LoMI, and LoGD concepts.
 - Familiarity with HS2’s MPDT, MIDP, and related digital standards (WI350, BEP).
 
Desirable
- Experience supporting digital handover or asset data verification on major rail or civils projects.
 - Knowledge of IFC schema and model validation tools (e.g. Solibri, Navisworks).
 - Background in Surveying or Construction Engineering is advantageous.
 - Working knowledge of Enable My Team (EMT) and AssetWise workflows.

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
