• Safety critical role overseeing all Mechanical Tunnel works – Temp site set-up at AR and then ARLT & ET tunnel construction works. Safety
• Compliance with Costain way Safe systems of works and all SCS Mechanical Safety Management Plan. Safety & Quality
• Oversee all the Mechanical personnel and mechanical plant and equipment and associated activities. Safety
• Mechanical Superintendent will initially be the undertaking the following activities; mechanical equipment work package specifications & procurement / tunnel mechanical services specifications & single line drawings / site set-up mechanical services specifications & single line drawings. Factory Acceptance Tests of TBM AR / overseeing installation / launch / operation / maintenance of TBM and all associated mechanical equipment and services. Safety, Quality & VfM
• Produce and implement the Mechanical Operating Safety Procedures, including; Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS), Task Briefings. Safety
• Overseeing the Mechanical operations to ensure the key roles are staffed with people that are competent and can effectively and safely undertake their roles on the project. Safety & Quality
• Develop innovative systems and processes to ensure maximum availability of equipment and safe systems of work at all times. Safety & VfM
• Coordinate plant requirements across all tunnel construction sites. VfM
• Implement a planned preventative maintenance scheme and oversee the spare parts management. VfM
• Maintain all records of inspections and maintenance (planned & unplanned). Safety & Quality
