Junior Quality Engineer

Job Introduction

The Assistant Quality Engineer is required to Support the relevant Quality Engineer/Manager by conducting independent surveillances on both internal processes and subcontractors/ suppliers. reviewing Inspection and Test Plans and reporting back to the Quality Engineer/Manager, maintaining records on Zutec and Assestwise . Attend relevant meetings including NCR/ Defect meetings, monthly QA meetings. Assist  with collation of ITP Records packages. Develop effective working relationship with the delivery team and client.

Role Responsibility

  • Updating schedules/reports/trackers with relevant information
  • Preparing documents for surveillances
  • Supporting the Quality Engineers/Managers
  • Partaking in Quality Risk Reviews
  • Ensure that quality management is given the highest priority within Site Delivery Teams, in the delivery of their works to achieve right first time. (Quality Planning)
  • Collaborate with Site Delivery Team and sub-contractors to ensure full understanding of quality assurance requirements, with the documentation management system Zutec
  • Check the works during progress and on completion to ensure that it has been constructed in line with the Works Information. (Quality Control)
  • Progressing Quality issues such as non-conformances
  • Analysis of Quality Performance data and reporting
  • Attending Lessons Learnt reviews
  • Obtain Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute

About the Company

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
