Inventory & Fleet Administrator

Job Introduction

The Inventory and Fleet Administrator will join the SCS Logistics team that manages construction logistics across the HS2 main works. They will be responsible for Coordinating and managing SCS Fleet and Inventory information in accordance with current processes and procedures. Liaising between the Central Logistics Team, project areas, and external suppliers to ensure productive relationships which deliver benefits for all parties. The Fleet and Inventory Coordinator reports to the Fleet and Inventory Manager.

Role Responsibility

  • Maintain SCS Fleet management systems for SCS drivers and vehicles and inform the Fleet and Inventory Manager of any changes.
  • Act as SCS Inventory System User
  • Monitor PCNs, fines and speeding violations for fleet vehicles
  • Manage driver license checks, on-boarding and issue of SCS ‘Permits to Drive’
  • Onboarding and administration for all new fleet vehicles.
  • Responsible for the daily management of the Fleet Team emails/queries
  • Gather, input, validate and interpret data from fleet management systems including CheckedSafe/Quartix.
  • Maintain all fleet related spreadsheets, reports, and trackers with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ensure that all vehicle defect reports are reviewed and actioned in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles meet servicing/MoT requirements
  • Assist with the management of driver capabilities and provision of driver training where necessary

About the Company

The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
