Instrumentation and Monitoring Manager

Job Introduction

To provide assistance to the I&M Managers in Area Central. To help manage I&M tasks related to the installation and monitoring of construction activities, HS2 structures and 3rd party assets

Undertake, manage and ensure that interface documents are prepared and issued to relevant 3rd party stakeholders to enable the I&M installation teams to access and install the instrumentation as required

Role Responsibility

  • Prepare and issue plans, documentation and procedures for installation, protection, operation, maintenance and removal of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Manage aspects of I&M process related to the approvals with 3rd parties in line with the Third-Party Agreements by HS2 and be aware of the responsibilities of the I&M subcontractor
  • Assist with review of risk assessment & method statements and task briefings in relation to I&M activities
  • Assist with access requests to railway assets such as Network Rail and TfL
  • Assist with programming of installation activities to meet construction programme
  • Attend progress meetings, help prepare reports of current status and highlight any areas that require specific attention
  • Become familiar with buildings, bridges, tunnels, other structures or assets in the vicinity of the TBM and other construction works to identify I&M interfacing requirements recognising the current and future stages of construction.

About the Company

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 Main Civils Contracts which include both Lots S1 (Euston Tunnels & Approaches) and S2 (Northolt Tunnels). Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
