Role Responsibility
- Demonstrate, through visible leadership, the expected Skanska Costain STRABAG JV Culture, Values and Behaviours.
- Act at a programme level, ensuring best for programme behaviours, approaches and decision making.
- Develop an effective team through leadership and culture, structure, recruitment assessment and development of the team and its members.
- Define business strategies and organisational policies to enable the strategic coordination of SCS JV, the 3 operational areas and any projects and initiatives
- Accountable to define ICT management systems and accountable to ensure compliance.
- Accountable for IT enabling services such as emailing and hosting, and analytical services such as PBI, and the overall performance and activity prioritisation of the IT department including governance and compliance.
- Responsible to establish and report on performance indicators and key results.
- Establish the necessary ICT capabilities for the Joint Venture considering requirements, budget, opportunities and compliance.
- Own the execution and improvement of the ICT strategy and annual strategic objectives via the continuous improvement process.
- Responsible for retention, development and wellbeing of staff.
- Contribute at Senior Leadership level, raising awareness on ICT initiatives and challenges, and addressing ICT matters as relevant.
- Drive digitalisation and enable business transformation to achieve businesses objectives, targets, and goals.
- Establish a diverse and inclusive team and working environment, where teammates can thrive, work collaboratively and have a fair work-life balance.
- Responsible for the ICT JV budget and related cost control including forecasting.
- Act as CISO for the Joint Venture
The Ideal Candidate
· Global best practice certifications (ITIL, MOF, PRINCE2, ) are desirable
· Familiar with Data Security standards and requirements (e.g. ISO27001)
· Strong communication skills at all levels
· Construction experience in large projects (between 200m and 1bn contractual value) is desirable
· Solid expertise in information technology management
· Expertise in construction software solutions
· Goal-oriented, committed and ability to work independently
· Proven ability to think strategically and to provide valuable input to strategic development and decision making.
· Experience of developing structured processes, procedures and tool sets to facilitate strategic decision making.
· Able to create effective, communication and reporting processes through strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
· Plays a key in role supporting large-scale change programmes which impact people, processes and technology.
· The proven ability to set and achieve change initiatives closely aligned to strategic objectives.
About the Company
The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services
The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 Main Civils Contracts which include both Lots S1 (Euston Tunnels & Approaches) and S2 (Northolt Tunnels). Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
