Head of Engineering Services
Job Introduction
Our Skanska Costain STRABAG joint venture team is working in partnership with HS2 to deliver the new London tunnels from Euston to West Ruislip. Our joint venture team is working on sites at Euston, Old Oak Common and West Ruislip, building tunnels 13 miles long and up to 50m deep, supporting delivery of HS2 phase one.
We are looking for a Head of Engineering Services to join our HS2 team onsite in London. You will be responsible for ensuring quality, compliance with SCS management systems and the contract with HS2
Role Responsibility
Responsibilities:
• Leadership of SCS Engineering Services, including Site Engineering, Asset Protection, Survey Asset Protection and Interfaces.
• Developing and Maintaining the Technical Processes required for to ensure SCS comply with legal requirements, SCS strategies and the Works information
• Providing governance and Assurance to the Project Management Team that the required processes are being complied with.
• Ensuring the Asset Protection Strategy is maintained, and delivery supported to ensure safety and schedule.
The Ideal Candidate
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in project-based engineering management across all project stages
- Experience of large complex projects in the rail, highways, water or energy sectors
- Understanding of digital engineering in design and construction phases and of using the Digital Plan of Works.
- Experience of managing the challenges associated with multi-disciplinary teams.
