Document Controller
Job Introduction
We are recruiting for a Document Controller to work within the Environmental and Sustainability team, reporting to the Environmental Assurance Lead.
Document Controller with effective management, controlling and distribution of all information and documentation to meet the HS2 and SCS Document Management requirements. Reporting to Environmental Assurance Lead. During construction and handover phase of the HS2 London Tunnels Contract.
Responsible for:
- Management of the Environment and Sustainability teams documents on the document control system EMT (Enable My Team) and Asset Wise
- Support close out of comments and review documents
- Support tracking of open and closed comments

Role Responsibility
- Contributing to the development, implementation and administration of the SCS Document Control procedures, management reports and system (eB) to comply with HS2 Document Management Procedure Hs2-IM-PRO-000-000008 and WI1600 1 Document Numbering and Master Deliverables List.
- Helping the Document Control Manager to produce, revise and populate the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) or (Document Tracker) with all contract deliverables documents, including delivery durations and deadlines from the Accepted Programme.
- Assisting the Document Control Manager in management of in time document submissions in accordance with the HS2 Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) within the HS2 eB system.
- Producing information and documents that are compliant with the requirements and set Plans.
- Informing the Document Control manager of receipt of the key documents and Information at key stage to allow update of the Deliverables Schedule.
- Assisting the Document Control Manager in reviewing the current and superseded information archives on a regular basis to ensure that all are in accordance with the HS2 and SCS archiving processes.
- Liaise with the Requirements Manager, Reporting Manager and Change Management for received information and document changes.
The Ideal Candidate
- HNC or equivalent
- Prior experience in civil engineering projects in a Document Control function
- Knowledge of the requirements and management systems procedures in accordance with ISO 9001: 2008 or ISO 9001:2015.
- Experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team, taking a collaborative approach
- Data handling & reporting competency. IT competent with excellent skills in Microsoft Excel as well as Word & Powerpoint
- Organisation, task coordination and time management skills
- Keen interest in the Environment and Sustainability
- Use of PowerBI, SQL, data management platforms etc. would be advantageous

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
