CAD Manager - MEP
Job Introduction
This role is a responsible for management and coordination of the MEP CAD information through ProjectWise to assure alignment with the client’s requirements.
The MEP CAD manager will work within the MEP Design team reporting to the MEP Design Manager. The MEP Design team are based at North Acton offices and will require to visit other areas of the project (East and West London) as an when required.
The MEP Design team are overseeing the production of the LOD 4 (PAS1192) produced by Design House (Zublin/Arup/Typsa). The LOD 5 Design is due to start in Q3 2022, this will be undertaken by the SCS supply chain (MEP / Architectural). The production of the LOD 5 Design information must conform to the SCS/HS2 BIM requirements, it is the responsibility of the CAD manager to ensure the supply chain comply.
Role Responsibility
- Coordination, assurance and Implementation of MEP CAD in accordance with the SCS BIM Execution Plan.
- Assurance of CAD Quality and reporting CAD quality issues to the MEP sub-contractors
- Supporting the two Lot BIM Leads to ensure CAD information is managed in line with the proposed work breakdown structure.
- Development and maintenance of SCS CAD Standards for construction information.
- Admin management of Bentley Projectwise for the project
- Support and promote CAD Training with engineers, graduates and apprentices
- Management and configuration of AECOSim data groups
- Day to day management of a team of CAD technicians
The Ideal Candidate
- Educated to HNC or higher
- Sustained Continuing Professional Development.
- Experience across all stages of a project lifecycle.
- Experience of working within large infrastructure project environments
- Certified Bentley software professional
- Bentley AECOSim capable
- Bentley Projectwise administrator
- Desirable to have Bentley Railtrack capability
- 3D CAD Production on a Civil Engineering Project
- Good understanding BIM principles and PAS1192

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
