CAD Lead Utilities

Job Introduction

Our Skanska Costain STRABAG joint venture team is working in partnership with HS2 to deliver the new London tunnels from Euston to West Ruislip. Our joint venture team is working on sites at Euston, Old Oak Common and West Ruislip, building tunnels 13 miles long and up to 50m deep, supporting delivery of HS2 phase one.

We are looking for a CAD lead - Utilities to join our HS2 team onsite in London. You will be responsible for keeping an Existing Utilities Master Coordinated Model up to date for utilities site teams carrying out Utilities works on behalf of SCS Railways Utilities team.

Role Responsibility

Responsibilities:

• Have BIM experience and knows Uniclass 2015

• Will need to form working relationships with the Information Management team to work with Bentley ProjectWise Management and work on BIM processes and procedures

• Have a good understanding of what’s required for a BIM Execution Plan (BEP), Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and Model Production and Delivery Table (MPDT)

• Required to have good interpersonal skill and be able to work closely with other site disciplines

The Ideal Candidate

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good attitude to safety and holder of a CSCS card
  • Has 5 or more years working with Bentley MicroStation V8i (Connect) or AECOsim (Open Building Designer).
  • Has modelled from Point Cloud data and Photogrammetry
  • To have an appreciation of using FME to convert Snake Grid to OS Grid and vice versa
