Behavioural Safety Coach
Job Introduction
The primary purpose of the role is to support the implementation of the Love for Life behavioural programme in Area Central.
The post holder will be responsible for the following:
· In the field coaching of supervision and wider area team on specific topics such as predictable behaviours, targeted risk monitoring, briefing delivery
· Ad hoc conversational coaching in the field to encourage observation reporting, signpost to help and support, and to identify emerging weak signals
· Delivery of IFE Orientation sessions to supply chain labour workforce
· Assist with data collection relating to Safety Climate Survey
· Provide input into overall development of behavioural programme
· Support the area with localised requirements that are aligned to behavioural programme and overall HSW strategy
The post holder will report into the Behavioural Programme Manager.

Role Responsibility
- Visiting the sites across Area Central to undertake in the field coaching
- Maintaining records of coaching undertaken in the field
- Providing data for monthly KPIs
- Delivery of training
- Assisting the Behavioural Programme Manager as needed
- Supporting the area with localised requirements as appropriate
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Site based experience, preferably within construction / infrastructure / health and safety
- A solid understanding of behavioural tools and techniques
- Experienced coach with the ability to build rapport quickly with others
- Ability to identify areas for improvement to drive desired behaviours e.g. use of technology, simplification of process etc
Preferrable:
- Attendance of IFE Orientation Leader train the trainer course
- Knowledge of the HS2 London Tunnels project
- Experience in supporting the delivery of behavioural programmes
