MEP Coordinator

Job Introduction

The MEP Coordinator will join the SCS MEP team to help assist the team based at North Acton.

They will be responsible for providing business support to the MEP team and their supply chain.  Responsibilities include general team administrative duties, supply chain on boarding and familiarisation, admin user for the MEP Intranet pages and assisting with Project Communications including Commercial administration as needed

Dynamic working: This is a full-time site / office based role. Locations can be varied amongst the Project Offices depending on the demands and needs of the project .Anyone who applies for a role can ask about Dynamic working at interview.

Role Responsibility

  • Lead the Supply Chain Onboarding – post SCS induction
  • Educate and familiarize the MEP Supply Chain on the ways and needs of the project
  • Act as a MEP Ambassador for new starters both people and company
  • Ensure smooth running of the MEP team on daily basis, including upkeep of office inventory, room & visitor bookings, printer issues, etc.
  • Manage agendas/meetings/reviews/121s etc. for the Senior Leadership Team
  • Manage Office seating plans, training matrix, annual leave planner and help advise/arrange access for new members of the team
  • Assist Commercial/Document Control with project communications (CEMAR)
  • Update MEP Intranet pages and team’s planner board
  • Organise events, including work/social
  • Raise requisitions and liaise with accounts department  
  • Create and update records, organograms, and databases with personnel
  • Assist colleagues whenever necessary
  • Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies

  • Experience of working on a JV project (though not essential)
  • Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Power Point).

About the Company

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 Main Civils Contracts which include both Lots S1 (Euston Tunnels & Approaches) and S2 (Northolt Tunnels). The combined value of the contracts is around £1.8billion with the works due for completion in 2025.  Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
