Administrator - Tunnel Labour

Job Introduction

Provision of a range of administrative and analytical duties and specific responsibilities (e.g. payroll, invoice passing) in support of the project team. Reporting to Works Superintendent.

Role Responsibility

· Organization of data into required format

· Analysis of data and provision of ad-hoc reports as and when required

· Collate site payroll for processing

· Attend site administration meetings

· The resource will receive all tunnel labour time and allocation sheets

· Validate timekeeping information

· Resolve any errors (missing hours, holidays etc);

· Correctly allocate the WBS code to operatives

· Adherence to SCS policies and procedures

· Ad hoc duties as role require

The Ideal Candidate

· Competent in IT skills - Experience of Microsoft Office

· Note: Training will be given on bespoke software applications

· Strong organizational and communication skills

· Practical approach, logical thought process and a methodical way of working

· Experience of setting up and/or operating office management systems including filing

·  Systems and document control and distribution

About the Company

The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 Main Civils Contracts which include both Lots S1 (Euston Tunnels & Approaches) and S2 (Northolt Tunnels). The combined value of the contracts is around £1.8billion with the works due for completion in 2025.  Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
